CP Recordings Releases Jacob Todd’s Passage

(London, England) August 21, 2006 – CP Recordings has just released Passage, its first album project with American-based producer Jacob Todd. The album features over 60 minutes of original music written, produced and programmed by Jacob Todd. Minimal downtempo breaks fuse with edgy progressive house and melodic riffs float along to capture a unique mood. Collaborations with respected vocalists Kelly Noland and Jillian Kiggins further enhance the album, leading to an eclectic showcase.

Passage is currently available on CD at CD Baby and will be available in digital format on September 14, 2006 (www.beatport.com/jacob+todd and www.itunes.com). Each of the singles, along with remixes, will be available individually beginning September 14th, 2006 (www.beatport.com/jacob+todd, www.djdownload.com, www.3beatdigital.com, and www.resonantvibes.com).

In conjunction with the release of Passage, Jacob will be the featured guest on radio shows across the globe for stations including Dasding FM (Germany, 8/26/06), Dinamo FM (Turkey, 8/25/06), Kiss FM (Australia, 8/28/06), CRMK FM (UK, 8/28/06), Energy FM (Ireland, 8/27/06), Rotationz.BE (Belgium, 8/28/06), Play FM / Gong FM (Hungary, 8/2806), Proton Radio (Worldwide, 9/06), and Frisky Radio (Worldwide, 9/06).

Jacob has been djing for six years and began producing electronic dance music in 2002. Jonathan Lisle’s M-Theory Records released Jacob’s first single entitled “Nothing Is Real” in 2004. Dubbed "the Photek of progressive breaks" by Meat Katie for its "solid rhythm, clever programming, and rocking beats," Nothing is Real was featured on both Anthony Pappa's Balance CD and John Digweed's Kiss 100 radio show. His follow-up record "The Metaphysics of Paper" was released on 3 Beat Breaks later that year and was again featured by John Digweed on his Kiss 100 radio show. Nick Warren then chose the Aural Imbalance remix of Jacob’s “Somehow” to be included on his Shanghai compilation for Global Underground. Jacob established his record label Emote Music in 2006 in an effort to expand his musical reach.
